Friday Night Thrash
Friday was the start of the Friday Night Thrash and this was a huge success. Members compete in a 10 hole stableforld competition for an entry fee of £3. This year we will be raising funds towards a local cancer charity. After the Golf everyone enjoyed food and drinks on the terrace – we just need to pray for some warmer weather until we can meet indoors. If you wish to join us this week please put your name down on BRS and pay your £3 entrance fee to a member of the bar staff. Tee times are from 2pm each Friday
Bell Cup
Monday saw the 1st Bell Cup match of the season. The Bell Cup is a ladies team event run through the Manchester and District Ladies Golf Association.
It was a home draw against Darwen and the ladies won 4-3. Well done to all the participants and thank you to Christine Ogden for organising the event.
The next round is against Antrobus or Leigh and we will keep you all updated
BGA Statham Cup
The 1st BGA competition of the season was held at Great Lever and Farnworth G.C last Saturday. It had a large turnout and it was good to see two of our members Paul Bridge and Jason Olive coming 2nd after a card play off – well done!
